Disciplinary punishment has been inflicted on 28 traffic policemen this year for stopping means of transportation with no reason and showing disrespectful attitude toward citizens. As for traffic policemen who have taken bribes, the police haven’t found such in recent months. Norik Sargsyan, the head of the patrol agency of the traffic police, didn’t rule out cases of deals between drivers and policemen and corruption risks, and said that time was needed to gradually eliminate such phenomena.
