I often receive letters via email, the writers of which introduce themselves as a counselor working in some African country. Moreover, those letters are not only sent to my email, but also to some common address. The letter-writers inform that a rich man by the name of Srgsyan who was engaged in business activities died leaving huge wealth and they asked for my consent in order to get his inheritance.
Knowing that email is used by different kinds of hacker, I didn’t pay attention to such letters. However, the letter gotten on July 11 made me think. The first words of the text were “Respected Serzh Sargsyan.”
I think that liars are attracted to that name, they think that a relative of the Armenian President will have some money, which can be taken away from him as a result of a lie.
The latest letter, if we trust its author, is from Togo. It turns out that Shernenko Sargsyan, a worker at Shell Corporation, died in a car crash in that country in 2003 and left $9.8 million. The counselor has ostensibly been looking for his relatives and hasn’t found them; he was compelled to send letters with the above-mentioned content.
