The Protesters Wiped Their Feet on the Photo of the President of the Republic of Armenia (Video)

July 26,2012 14:02

As we have already informed, today police officers engaged in an argument with the mothers of servicemen who had died in the army under peaceful conditions for putting the photo of the President of the Republic of Armenia under their feet. One of the police officers tried to take the photo of the President of the Republic of Armenia from under the protesters’ feet and after the protesters’ long resistance, he tore it up and took it away. The protesters became angrier and reminded that no promise of  Serzh Sargsyan made to them had been fulfilled, therefore, they thought it was right to put the photo of such a president under their feet. They complained that police officers always impede their protests and reminded that a few months ago, one of the police officers had pushed one of them around. The police officers, in turn, opposed that they were telling a lie.

The mother of Valery Muradyan who had died in the army, Nana Muradyan, became more annoyed because of these words of the police officers and attacked the police officers. Later on, the protesters took out another photo of the President of the Republic of Armenia and put it under their feet again and wiped their feet on it. Today tens of police officers were aligned outside the Government Building door, in order that the protesters could not enter the building, as they had done the previous week.
