www.aravot.am inquired during a conversation with Tigran Urikhanyan, the press secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), whether he was anxious that in the campaign started against businessmen (we meant, in particular, what had happened to Ruben Hayrapetyan and Samvel Alexanyan recently), PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s turn would probably also come. T. Urikhanyan replied, “What turn are you talking about? What Mr. Tsarukyan has to do with the line, in which oligarchs are standing? The known definitions of a businessman have nothing to do with the term oligarch. I don’t see Mr. Tsarukyan in that line.”
Denying that G. Tsarukyan was a businessman, T. Urikhanyan went into detail, “He has not been a businessman for a long time. A person is a businessman when he does business. Mr. Tsarukyan has been spending all day long in the party office, in his office dealing with political processes for a very long time. He is officially the owner of a few enterprises, which are in the respective commercial organization.”
