According to the news circulating in Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan’s son – Spartak – has been engaged in fierce showdowns with Samvel Balasanyan’s team members since Friday. The thing is that on Friday evening, Samvel Balasanyan met with the residents of the neighborhood behind the railroad, which made Spartak furious. At about 22:30, the latter, gathering his friends, went to fight in the campaign headquarters of Edgar Mkrtchyan, a candidate for the council of that neighborhood, fired shots, then the showdown continued in front of children’s play center The World of Miracles at the crossroads of central Sayat-Nova and Rustaveli Streets, which is owned by the very Ghukasyan family. Shots were fired here too.
We have been to the candidate’s campaign headquarters. Edgar Mkrtchyan who is Samvel Balasanyan’s teammate and has announced his candidacy with the group of the Work and Dignity initiative was not there. The women working in the headquarters communicated that the candidate had not been in the headquarters since Saturday.
The neighborhood guys pretended that they were not aware of the incident.
