“The Cooperation Between A1+ and ArmNews Doesn’t Contradict the Legislation of the Republic of Armenia,” the National Commission on TV and Radio (NCTR) Says

September 07,2012 17:17

As we have already informed, A1+ will have a 20-minute-long informational and analytical show on ArmNews TV channel five days a week, according to the contract signed by the TV companies for one year. A1+ will prepare the show and ArmNews will not interfere in the work. www.aravot.am inquired of the NCTR what it thought of the cooperation between the TV companies and the return of A1+ to broadcasting.

In response to our question, the NCTR communicated that the cooperation between A1+ and ArmNews didn’t contradict the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

Let us remind that the NCTR has been impeding all efforts of A1+ to return to broadcasting since 2002. And because of the decision made by the NCTR at the 2002 contest, Armenia lost a case in the European Court of Human Rights.
