“We seize every opportunity to hold the perpetrators of March 1 accountable on both internal and international political agendas. I don’t think anyone has any grounds to say something like that,” Levon Zurabyan, the leader of the ANC parliamentary group, said about the claims of the March 1 victims’ relatives that the radical opposition and the government equally killed the investigation into the 10 deaths of March 1.
“The latest manifestation of that was the question we asked the President of the European Union from whom we have gotten a satisfying answer. The fact that we have talked about it in our statements and the fact that drawing up a bill on those responsible for the events of March 1 is a priority for us testify to that. So we have to establish an interim commission in the National Assembly that will investigate the deaths of March 1. I don’t understand what grounds there can be to say something like that,” Mr. Zurabyan added.
