“There are many ideas contradicting each other, as well as ideas not corresponding to the reality, in that interview,” Zoya Tadevosyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) and the coordinator of the social initiative The People’s Government, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am about Armenian Football Federation president Ruben Hayrapetyan’s famous interview published in Nouvelles d’Arménie Magazine. The thing is
that he said regarding the events that had taken place in Harsnakar Restaurant and the developments that had ensued that members of the ANC, the pioneers of social struggle, had heard the transcripts of his phone calls and had been assured that he was unaware of those developments and that was why they, according to Hayrapetyan, “have shut up.”
“I myself don’t treat that interview seriously at all and I don’t think that the one who gave the interview can be perceived as a politician,” Zoya Tadevosyan said adding that it would have been much better, if Hayrapetyan hadn’t given that interview, since he had put himself in the worst position, “It is not good, when a man says something and then denies it swearing by his mother.”

In response to a question whether it was possible that this interview would predetermine the future relations between the Republican Party of Armenia and the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), since RPA member Ruben Hayrapetyan had made interesting observations about the PAP leader, our interlocutor said, “The two parties responsible for the country’s political and economic development for five years are also responsible for the future. They cannot deny responsibility halfway down the road and communicate with each other on a different level. They are political forces, which are on the same road and head in the same direction. There is nothing to reveal here. And the rest is called pulling the wool over the people’s eyes.”
