Levon Ter-Petrossian Is Under the Impression That Serzh Sargsyan Mocked the People (Video)

September 21,2012 23:34

Levon Ter-Petrossian, the first President of the Republic of Armenia, was present at the festive meeting organized by the Armenian National Congress (ANC) on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence today. According to him, the task of turning Armenia into a normal, respectable country is doable, but one needs to solve 5 problems for that, “The normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, the Karabakh conflict settlement and the elimination of blockade depend not only on us. Whatever policy our government pursues, one shouldn’t blame only them – if they had done everything possible, it doesn’t mean that they would have solved those problems, it depends also on external forces. However, the other two problems – not stealing, law-enforcement and elimination of corruption – depend on our establishment. One just needs political will to solve these issues. Instead of mocking the people by convening a consultation – I really think it was a mockery – the incumbent president should have slammed his hand down on the table and said ‘that’s

it, we don’t steal from now on’ and not ‘you don’t steal,’ but ‘all of us don’t steal.’ And he should have said that law was enforced from then on, and it is possible.”

Details in the video.
