“I Wanted to Ask You How You Had Behaved in Prison,” Kovalenko Shahgaldyan asks Nikol Pashinyan

September 25,2012 18:46

www.aravot.am asked Kovalenko Shahgaldyan, the governor of Kotayk, to say why Nikol Pahinyan had been angry today, in his opinion. Let us remind that Nikol Pashinyan thanked him in the National Assembly for condescending to come to the National Assembly and not making a report via Skype, because Kovalenko Shahgaldyan had advised him to find information on their region on www.region.am website.

According to the governor, “I think Nikol Pashinyan is an active MP and he wanted to show that he was aware of certain issues. The easiest thing to do is to ask questions. Anyone, not even being a specialist, can ask questions.” In response to our observation that not everyone can ask sharp questions, Mr. Shahgeldyan said the following, “Why can’t he, it is the easiest thing to do.”

We asked him to formulate a sharp question and ask Nikol Pashinyan. In the governor’s words, “I wanted to ask him, but he escaped. I wanted to ask how he had behaved in prison.” We asked to clarify how he had behaved then, whether he had any information. The governor didn’t go into detail; he just mysteriously smiled in response.
