Derenik Dumanyan, the Minister of Healthcare, talked about Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s Consultation with the Cabinet members during a conversation with www.aravot.am today and said that they had taken into account the rebukes and had quickly responded. According to him, “We are preparing a bill to regulate the pricing of drugs, to strengthen the supervision in the field. Those problems have been there for a long time, more than ten years.”
In response to our observation that there was certain information that the problems in the field and kickbacks had emerged during former Minister Harutyun Kushkyan’s tenure, Mr. Dumanyan said briefly that he didn’t know and couldn’t say, he was not supposed to reveal kickbacks in the field, he was just responsible that there were no such things during his tenure, and left.
