“Since I Am a Believer, I Don’t Want to Say Who Has Been Elected How,” Vardan Ghukasyan Says About Samvel Balasanyan

October 08,2012 00:04

Today Vardan Ghukasyan, the outgoing mayor of Gyumri, making a report on his 13-year work concluded his speech with a part dedicated to newly-elected mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan. “Probably starting from Monday, Tuesday, there are many people who rush, we will quickly hand in our resignation within a month, 20 days and since I am a believer and have built a few churches, I don’t want to say who has been elected how, what has happened. I just want to say one thing – God give the incoming mayor wisdom, I congratulate him, let him be able to build, develop, let him build better than I; let him make the town more developed. God give him wisdom, if he needs me, I am ready to help, stand by him, support. And let me say one more thing – as long as I live, I will be merciful, charitable, standing by the people, defending them with might and main, as I have been so far, God bless you all,” Vardan Ghukasyan said.

The mayor of Gyumri added at the end that he wasn’t tired of work, he was tired of intrigues, of those who “are full of lies,” but he also said that he forgave everyone.
