“One should treat this as normal. One shouldn’t seek sensations in all this,” Naira Zohrabyan, the secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) parliamentary group, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am about the information spread this morning that Vardan Vardanyan, the former PAP Minister of Urban Development, had been summoned to the main investigation department, Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Ms. Zohrabyan reminds about the statement made by the Attorney General’s press secretary the other day that Mr. Vardanyan was not involved in any criminal case. “I can just assume that Mr. Vardanyan has been summoned as a former minister to listen to his opinion on certain issues. I am absolutely convinced that Mr. Vardanyan has something to say about the National Library, in the framework of which he has been summoned to an interview,” Ms. Zohrabyan said assuring that the party leader was also closely following this process, “And if we see that there are certain worrying issues or issues that are beyond legal framework, naturally, we will necessarily respond. I am sure Vardan Vardanyan has something to say about these cases.”
Vardan Vardanyan himself doesn’t answer phone calls.
