A 15-year-old girl who escaped from an orphanage in the Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul was raped by almost 100 men over the last three months, daily Hürriyet has reported.
The girl, who was only identified as D.N., met a woman identified as G.Y. after escaping from the orphanage. G.Y. forced D.N. to have sex with numerous men for a price between 30 and 100 Turkish Liras each.
D.N., who escaped from G.Y. after three months of sexual abuse, went to the Zeytinburnu Police Office and explained everything to the police. The police have launched an investigation and put a number of men who admit to having had sexual relations with D.N. into custody.
The victim has since been receiving psychological help.
