“The forces in the opposition faction have been demolished, which is not good for them,” Manvel Badeyan, an RPA MP says talking about the statement of Khachatur Kokobelyan, the leader of the Free Democrats Party, that they would formally remain in the Heritage Party parliamentary group, but would represent the Free Democrats Party.
Mr. Badeyan doesn’t know the reasons for the split in the coalition, but the split was expectable, “I cannot even understand the basis of their union. If there was no basis, there had to be a split sooner or later, which has happened. The union was surprising and the split expectable. There are obvious problems in the faction; they cannot even strengthen their faction. Let us wait and see whether they are able to create a united opposition force during the presidential election.”
He also added that the split in the Coalition had weakened both the Free Democrats Party and the Heritage Party, “They are not that influential a force to be some factor during the presidential election, let alone, when they are split. I think both forces have almost zero chances.”
