Nothing Will Threaten Azerbaijani Boxers in Yerevan

October 29,2012 13:47

Azerbaijan stated that it intended to participate in the Youth World Boxing Championship to begin in Yerevan on November 25. However, Ağacan Abıyev, the vice-president of the boxing federation of that country told Azerisport the other day that the Armenian side hadn’t provided security guarantees in writing yet and only after receiving the respective letter would they leave for Yerevan. www.aravot.am has found out today that on October 26, which is the deadline for submitting applications, a letter with the signature of Hrachya Rostomyan, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, concerning guarantees of security of the Azerbaijani delegation, as well as all the other delegations coming to Armenia was sent to the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and an answer was gotten from there that the letter had been received. Therefore, boxers of the neighboring country can come to Armenia without worrying.
