www.aravot.am inquired of Petros Makeyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), today what the reason for the claim of Aram Manukyan, the secretary of the ANC parliamentary group, that Robert Kocharyan was to blame for organizing the events of March 1 and political forces were not involved in it was. Mr. Makeyan said in response that Mr. Manukyan could express his personal opinion or the opinion of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (PANM), “I don’t comment on what Mr. Manukyan said. There has been no such decision or discussion in the Congress political council which force participated in the events of March 1 and which not. Aghvan Hovsepyan was at the forefront, Robert Kocharyan and all the coalition forces, which were in power during the events of March 1, are responsible and guilty.”
Let us remind that in response to a question which political forces were to blame for organizing the events of March 1, Mr. Makeyan said today, “It was a result of Robert Kocharyan’s madness, it happened at Kocharyan’s behest. No political force was involved there, what did a political force have to do with that?”
