“I highly appreciate the humor of the daily newspaper and want to disappoint it, because I wasn’t watching a bodybuilding video, I was reading the political news. And that video uploaded to YouTube was found on the official website of the Prosperous Armenia Party,” Armen Ashotyan, the Minister of Education and Science, explained the news about a bodybuilding video in this manner during a conversation with www.aravot.am today.
He assured that he was just preparing for his speech during the discussion on the budget yesterday, “I was reading the news on official websites, using this mobile gadget.” We asked to clarify whether it wasn’t the continuation of rolling balls, the minister replied, “There are serious videos on YouTube too.”
Let us remind that according to The Armenian Times, Armen Ashotyan “was having fun on his tablet, surfing the internet and discussing interesting, in his opinion, videos found there with members of the Cabinet” during the discussion on the 2013 state budget yesterday. This has caused multifold comments, particularly after Minister of Energy Armen Movsisyan’s “rolling balls.” According to comments, realizing that he doesn’t have time to deal with education and increase the quality of education, when he doesn’t surf the net, Armen Ashotyan intends to adopt a new subject at school, bodybuilding. If one cannot develop the minds of children, one should change the direction and develop their biceps and triceps.
