“I think it was a very good decision,” Ashot Zakaryan, the manager of the Gyumri office of the Republic Party, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am about the decision of Aram Sargsyan, the leader of the party, not to announce his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election.
In his opinion, basically the party has nothing to do in 2013, “Mr. Sargsyan put it very clearly – actually a whole epoch is coming to an end, and a new one is starting. We must be able to prepare for the national elections in 2017-2018,” Mr. Zakaryan said.
He didn’t want to talk about his departure from the country. He just said that, in his opinion, emigration was a serious problem for our country today.
