By the end of 2013 the Supervisory Chamber of Armenia will conduct examinations in the Environmental Inspection and Khosrov Reserve. The Supervisory Chamber Chairman Ishkhan Zakaryan made a statement about this at the meeting held at Nature Protection Ministry on 11 January. “Under Ishkhan Zakaryan, the committee in charge of the monitoring is already recruited. The Supervisory Chamber Chairman has proposed to include environmental representatives in the committee. The monitoring will be conducted by the end of the year, for example, the Supervisory Chamber Chairman has highlighted the examination of the Khosrov reserve to exclude any activities in the reserve, which will violate the water regime, the construction of economic and household buildings, fishing, hunting, violation of animals habitat etc.” The Supervisory Chamber carries out its activities in the following directions: preservation of atmospheric air, use and preservation of water resources, conservation of soils, use and conservation of flora and fauna, hazardous substances and industrial wastes, environmental and nature management fees: these will be the targets of the environmental control,” says the official website of the Supervisory Chamber.
