“Your editorial was a novelty for me on this day of the election campaign; it is novel. I have generally given interviews on radio; I will talk on the air this evening. I always have something new to say, which I like to say on the air,” Aram Harutyunyan, a candidate for president, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am.
In response to our question how he would comment on the statement of Hmayak Hovhannisyan, the President of the Union of Political Scientists, that except for Andrias Ghukasyan’s nomination, the nominations of all the other candidates had been predictable for the government; they had been prepared by it, Harutyunyan said: “What can I comment on what Hmayak says, if he is a person who has been on three parties’ tickets; what can I tell him? Hmayak has been on the RPA ticket, Geghamyan’s ticket, the PAP ticket, but he hasn’t
been elected, what can I say about a person who has been on so many tickets? He has been in the winning places, but he hasn’t been elected…. I don’t comment on what he says.”
Aram Harutyunyan also stated that he would visit Andrias Ghukasyan again only when there were few people around, since he didn’t shoot his visits for show.
