We have talked about this issue many times; 3 200 people emigrated from Armenia in 2007, in 2008, that number increased to 23 100, in 2009, it was 25 000, in 2010, it was 46 700, in 2011, it was 43 800, and in 2012, it was 42 800 people, which means that 181 400 Armenians have left Armenia over the past 5 years.
Naturally, our government has nothing to do with all this; the resident of the village of Movses whose two sons are in Russia is to blame for that. Actually, everything is fine in our country, for the current government, in particular, since the emigrants are those who are displeased, and the number of displeased people decreases when they emigrate. If you don’t believe me, ask the Prime Minister!
But this is not all. The size of foreign direct investment in Armenia is diminishing at an exponential rate. So, in 2008, that number was 1 118 000 USD, whereas in 2009, it was 828 000, in 2010, it was 536 000, in 2011, it was 702 000, and in 2012, it was just 350 000 USD. As you can see, in 2012, the size of foreign direct investment is thrice smaller than in 2008. However, our government has nothing to do with this either; the sons of that man from the village of Movses who have emigrated to Russia and don’t invest from there are to blame for this too. On the other hand, why would the emptying country need big investment, moreover, under conditions of anti-kickbacks?
Therefore, everything is fine. Meanwhile the government has been engaged in a very serious – I would say, nation-rescuing – activities; it tries to plant the cucumber so that it doesn’t grow upside-down.

P.S. The cucumber is sure to become a political category this year.
