Today, during another “Freedom to Prisoners of Conscience” rally of the ANC, Levon Zurabyan, the ANC coordinator also talked about the incident that had happened to Paruyr Hayrikyan, a candidate for president and the leader of the Union for National Self-Determination (UNSD), yesterday. “We are a serious political force and don’t jump into rash assumptions, we don’t try to draw conclusions or make statements. One thing is clear for us; a crime was committed, it is worth condemning, and the government has failed not only to protect the life of a citizen, but also to create conditions for a normal presidential election. At the end of the day, they said that they would hire bodyguards for presidential candidates, employ means of security, didn’t they? They made those statements in advance. Now we can see what has happened,” Levon Zurabyan said.
According to him, if the government doesn’t find the criminals who have committed that mean action and doesn’t punish them with the full force of the law, then this government is not able to ensure a normal presidential election. The ANC demands that; they will talk about versions when they have serious information.
