According to Tigran Urikhanyan, the PAP rules out a coalition for the moment
“The Prosperous Armenia Party doesn’t discuss that issue for the moment, particularly because discussing such an issue is absolutely inappropriate. Nothing has changed so that we could take that step, because I have completely ruled out the term “coalition” and that format as people perceive it or have perceived it or like the former coalition government we had in our country. Generally ruling out the coalition for the moment, discussions are meaningless, because the situation hasn’t changed either, so that we could be inclined to that,” Tigran Urikhanyan, the press secretary of the PAP, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am.
Let us remind that different members of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) have said recently that after the election, the PAP will join the current coalition. Tigran Sargsyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia expressed a similar opinion last week, which caused various discussions and analyses in the press.
Tigran Urikhanyan thinks that such publications and discussions in the press are a result of “misunderstanding.” “We have taken on responsibility, obligations to the people and have always been and still are willing to bear that burden, that responsibility with dignity and meet the demands that our voters have made or will make on us, including in another branch of power, the executive one.”
