“The Armenian National Congress (ANC) Hasn’t Sold Its Commission Slots, but Some People Seized the Opportunity to Grab the Vacancies,” an ANC MP Says

February 13,2013 10:41

“I don’t have any information that the Congress has given its slots in the polling station commissions to someone else. We have tried to appoint our people to all electoral districts and polling stations, there might be individual cases when we didn’t appoint, they were vacant, and some people seized the opportunity. No member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) or the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is on our lists. Random people may appear in places where we didn’t have appropriate people to appoint. If there are vacancies, the commission chairman appoints. We haven’t sold or given any slots,” Lyudmila Sargsyan, an ANC MP, said to www.aravot.am, talking about the lists revealed by candidate for president Hrant Bagratyan’s campaign office in Artashat. Let us remind that according to those lists, for some reason, the Congress gave its commission slots to the Republicans and the PAP. “Does Hrant Bagratyan know everyone? There has been no cooperation. We have done everything we could to have our people in all polling stations,” Ms. Sargsyan added in conclusion.
