As we have already informed today, according to Tatev Khachatryan, a journalist of The Armenian Times, a daily newspaper, one of the students of the Agricultural University threw some hard item at her head during the student demonstration outside the university. Later on she told us that she hadn’t seen either the one who had thrown the item at her head or the item that had been thrown at her head. “I just felt that it was hard and caused a strong headache.” Later on those standing around the journalist told her that a gum pack had been thrown at her head. And other witnesses told us that a pack of cigarettes had been thrown at The Armenian Times journalist’s head. The journalist applied to Valeri Osipyan, the Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police, regarding that issue. He tried to find out from the students who had done it, then reprimanded him. The activists who had made a fuss about the incident demanded that the police officers take concrete actions in a concrete place. Mr. Osipyan, in his turn, urged the journalist to submit facts to the police in writing, if she had such.
