Ararat Zurabyan is going to make a statement
Ararat Zurabyan, a former chairman of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (PANM) executive committee, was present at Raffi Hovhannisyan’s latest rally. In response to a question of www.aravot.am what his attendance meant and whether he had joined Raffi Hovhannisyan, Mr. Zurabyan promised that he would make a statement on that in the next few days. We inquired also of Raffi Hovhannisyan what agreements they had with Ararat Zurabyan. He replied that there were no agreements. “I know that he has been present at my rallies, I have welcomed his and many other people’s presence, since they have shown with their silent attitude that regardless of contradictions they stand by the people. There are also people who speak out about standing by the people. Now it is time to prove, not to show loyalty to me, nor even to say my name. Who really speaks of the people’s right, interests, doesn’t engage in a partisan game, and doesn’t want to raise his rating at the expense of the people. And particularly those people who didn’t believe the people two months ago, didn’t participate in the election as a means of stimulating the people, it is their turn now. Some of them have already come to the square, and it has great power of self-purification. I am
grateful that Ararat Zurabyan has come. Now those who speak of the people should come and bow to the people, but never to me.”
