Makeyan is not against a common list, and Gimishyan will discuss it with Hrant Bagratyan and Aram Z. Sargsyan
Today www.aravot.am inquired of Petros Makeyan, the leader of the Democratic Motherland Party, and Sos Gimishyan, the leader of the Armenian Christian Democratic Renaissance Party, what they had decided regarding Raffi Hovhannisyan’s proposal. The Heritage Party had offered them and the People’s Party of Armenia (PPA), as well as Andrias Ghukasyan, to participate in the Yerevan City Council election with a common list. Petros Makeyan confirmed that there had been such a proposal. “We convened a meeting of the political council at 3 p.m. today; the answer to that question will have been there by the end of the day. However, I can say in advance about the sentiment among our political council members that they think of it positively. However, in the sense that the opposition participates jointly and the axis is the opposition leader’s movement; they rally to Raffi Hovhannisyan’s movement.” Sos Gimishyan said that they hadn’t made a decision yet and they would tell about their final decision whether they agreed to participate with a common list or not only by the end of the day. “We had a former agreement on this issue; we talked with both Hrant Bagratyan and Aram Sargsyan. After we decide whether we participate jointly with them or not, we will make a decision on the Heritage Party’s proposal.”
