March 25,2013 10:56

Although Raffi Hovhannisyan, the Heritage Party leader, didn’t announce the name of Yervand Zakharyan, a former mayor of Yerevan and the chairman of the State Cadastral Committee, among the officials who ought to be dismissed at the rally that took place on Friday, the latter wouldn’t have been surprised, if it had been announced. When asked whether he didn’t treat those demands seriously, that was why he wouldn’t be surprised during a conversation with www.aravot.am, Mr. Zakharyan said: “There is no issue of treating seriously or not. Raffi Hovhannisyan is presently not entitled to appoint or dismiss people. It is an offer that he makes to the president of the republic; the president will decide how he will treat them.” When we were having a conversation with Mr. Zakharyan, Serzh Sargsyan’s response letter addressed to Raffi Hovhannisyan hadn’t come out yet. In response to our question how the president would respond to Hovhannisyan’s proposal, in his opinion, Zakharyan said: “I cannot say; I don’t have a right to comment on that.”
