Talking about today’s decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) during a conversation with www.aravot.am, Manuk Sukiasyan, a member of the Mission Party, said that they didn’t have any problem with documentation at the moment, and as for the election deposit, “we work in that direction, and one can consider this issue solved, there was just technical procrastination, and 48 hours given to us by the CEC is enough.” Sukiasyan said that they didn’t have any other problems. “People of the government check the people on the party list, they try to find out in different places who was included in the list and why, they particularly check nonpartisans, what they have to do with politics etc.” Sukiasyan stated that admittedly, the party members were not pressured, but there was an atmosphere of supervision. “It also testifies to the fact that our party is not God’s gift to the government, and they see it as a threat and try to keep everything under control, using methods dear to them.”
