“Trade has no language, trade is no respecter of borders,” Nevin Il, the president of Dukunkad, a union of Turkey’s eastern and southeastern businesswomen, thinks. She came to Yerevan to participate in the forum of Armenian and Turkish businesswomen called “Establishment of Trade and Economic Relations.” Nevin Il stated during a conversation with www.aravot.am that meetings between Armenian and Turkish businesswomen would not be futile, and more women would start to engage in business after those meetings. In her words, women in Turkey had started to engage in business later than Armenian women. As our interlocutor stated, the Turkish government, shows rather big support for Turkish businesswomen. The president of Dokunkad didn’t wish to compare Armenian and Turkish businesswomen and to tell which were more successful; instead, she added: “It is different in different cultures, but women are stronger than men almost everywhere.”
