Today, Raffi Hovhannisian — US-born defeated presidential candidate in Armenia — has both personified and demonstrated the embarrassing and crazy mentality of the psychologically-challenged, mainstream, Armenian-Diaspora in the West — the main and continuous victim of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
The 1.5 million victims suffered immensely, but once they died, they died. The mainstream Armenian Diaspora (mainly run by the third/forth generation survivors of the genocide) has been consumed by the trauma, and the injustice rendered to them in the international arena, in the aftermath of the genocide.
Ignored, and without any meaningful recognition of the genocide in the horizon, after several generations of living abroad, they have turned into their Armenian ghettos (they call them communities) around the West, turning them into generations of mad, sad and unrealistic people, whose drug-of-choice is the collective hallucinations about their mythical return to their restored Armenian homeland (never mind if they’ve just got here, somewhere in the US or Europe, after spending thousands of dollars, to either benefit from the Western welfare states, or simply secure a future for their children).
Raffi Hovhannisian is maybe right that today is a new day for the Armenians. Because they may see themselves in the crazy, divorced-from-reality, image that Raffi is portraying of himself on the streets of Yerevan, Armenia right now.

So now the “Diaspora” is self appointed??? Who is keeping almost 60% of the Armenians in Armenia by sending money to them and supporting them, YOU?

Հարգելի խմբագիր եվ այս թերթի ընթերցողներ, ուզում եմ կիսվել իմ խոհերով այս վերջին շրջանի Րաֆֆու կարծես «անհասկանալի» իռացիոնալ «ապաքաղաքական» ուղղորդության վերաբերյալ, հատկապես որ միքանի անգամ արդեն տարբեր առիթներով իմ , այս թերթի մեկնաբանություններում անդրադարձել եմ արդեն, փորձել եմ բացատրել «անբացատրելին»…
Պիտի սկսեմ «իռացիոնալ» բառից քանզի, մենք մարդիկ որ Խորհրդային շրջանի ծնունդ ենք, բոլորս «ռացիոնալ լոգիկայի» կրողներ ենք… ես հիշում եմ մարդկանց զրույցները հասարակական տրանսպորտում … հիմնականում «լոգիկայով» տանում էր նրան որ մենք «հարիֆ» չենք որ 2+2 հավասար է …?… հետո դուրս եկավ չե, 4 չե: Տեսեք Խորհրդային Միության կործանումից հետո բոլոր հանրապէտություններում (բացի իհարկե եվրոպացի բալթերից) վերարտադրվեց Խորհրդային կառավարման ձեվը… նույնիսկ մեր մեծ Պատմաբան , Լիբերալ Բուրժուա առաջին Նախագահը չտեսավ որ ինքը որ «կործանեց» հին կարգերը, փաստորեն մի նոր Առաջին Քարտուղար է …եվ դա էլ բերեց 1996 ի անօրինական ընտրություններին եւ հետո «կոմունիստ,կոմսոմոլնրին» իշխանությունը ուզուրպացնելուն…

Երբ խղճի դեմ չգնալու գործարքի մասին էի գրել, Առավոտի խմբագիրն այն պիտակավորեց որպես կեղտոտ ակնարկ, ինձ ապշեցնում է այս հոդվածի տպագրումը Առավոտում, սա մի’թե կեղտոտություն չէ սփյուռքահայության հանդեպ, 1915ը վերապրածների,որոնց հեղինակը համարում է (կրկնել անգամ չեմ կարողանում), ողջ ՀԱՅ մարդաբանական տեսակի հանդեպ: Տպագրել այսպիսի նյութ, այն էլ Ցեղասպանության նախօրեին, ես այն որակում եմ առնվազն կեղտոտ ձեռագիր: Վստահ եմ, որ սա չեք թույլատրելու, որ երևա, ինձ համար կարևոր չէ, կարևորը հույսն է, որ կհասկանաք, որ սխալ չեմ:

My respond to the editor, Mr. Alexandri will be: Dear Mr. Alexandri, I didn’t like the way you described Armenians in the West, East or around the World. Your narrow minded descriptions not only disgrace but you are discrediting a whole generation of Armenians, a nation that went thru so much to survive and rebuild their nation. I myself never seen any of our generation who, as you wrote “ are turned into generations of mad, sad and unrealistic people who are hallucinations about their mythical return to their restored Armenian homeland,” if anything Mr. Alexandri, I see a smart, educated and very powerful generation that are not willing to just cry while remembering the 1.5 million martyrs of the first Genocide of the 20th century, murdered by the Ottoman Empire, but a generation that is determent and is working toward the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and genocides and crimes against humanity against other ethnicities too. I see a generation that is not willing to be satisfied by recognition but will continue to ask for the rightful rights of reclaiming and restoration our lands, churches, and properties. So, Mr. Alexandri I dare you to call ANY Armenian “mad, sad and unrealistic people, whose drug-of-choice is the collective hallucinations.”

On April 9th, did they intentionally take their symbolic oath for a new Armenia using copies of the pre-2005 Armenian Constitution (in 2005 the constitution was amended, declaring the Armenian Church the state church of the republic)?
If so, I applaud the Heritage Party for their progressive approach on this issue.
Separation of church and state is, first and foremost, good for the Church.
