names of the winners will be known on October 26
Today launched the “Open Game” Armenian Open Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games, organized already for the 3rd time by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and “Orange Armenia” CJSC. The objective of this championship is to develop the market of computer and mobile games in Armenia. It will help to reveal and motivate young talents to build their future by developing computer/mobile games.
“The quality of the projects submitted during last year’s championship exceeded our expectations. We saw excellent solutions that were ready to go on the market. We are happy to announce the start of the third championship. We expect that in the future part of the participants will create a private business and the other part will integrate the Armenian companies already involved in game development” said Karen Vardanyan, UITE Executive Director.
“We are happy to cooperate with the UITE for the 3rd year already, thus supporting and bringing to life many new and interesting ideas. Last year the number of participants doubled vs. previous year, meaning that the market of computer and mobile games is, indeed, a dynamically developing market with a great potential in Armenia. We are convinced that this year we will witness much more interesting and diverse games,” said Francis Gelibter, CEO of Orange Armenia.
“Open Game” Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games will be held in 4 stages. Stage by stage the participants will develop their projects with the help of the Jury and ready-made games will be presented to visitors during the Game Expo.
