He assures that a large part of the people will follow the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF)
Ashot Manucharyan, a member of the Karabakh Committee, said that there were three large forces in our country these days – the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Raffi Hovhannisyan, and Sardarapat. According to him, the people followed those three forces, and when journalists asked why he hadn’t mentioned the ARF, whether no one followed the ARF, he said: “I have pointed out the 3 forces, which a large or a small part of the people follows.” Today Aghvan Vardanyan, an alternate representative of the ARF Supreme body in Armenia, responded to Ashot Manucharyan during a conversation with www.aravot.am. In his words, “There are lots and lots of people who speak on behalf of the people. There are many people who speak on behalf of the people everywhere. I have never taken the liberty of speaking on behalf of the people, because the people are multilayered and multifold. A part of our people follows the ARF, and I am sure that a much larger part will follow it soon, because the ARF, as opposed to Ashot Manucharyan’s perceptions, is a self-sufficient, independent, and principled political force that pursues a clear policy.”
