Ambassador Hristea also noted that information about concrete projects on the ground is still scarce and needs to improve. “We established the EU Centre to help our projects in their communication activities and show how they bring about concrete results and benefits for the Armenian people, businesses and government,”the Ambassador noted.

The EU Centre is the main feature of the EU funded project “Support to EU communication on reforms in Armenia”. It is a professional communication facility that coordinates communication activities of the EU funded projects in Armenia and provides quality assurance of their publicity materials. The Centre’s website is a gateway to EU cooperation with Armenia.

According to the Team Leader of the project Ehtel Halliste direct communication with the public is a lot easier than it was before due the rapid development of the internet and information technology. “People have radically changed their ways of information consumption” MsHalliste said. “We need to develop new skills alongside the old tools and techniques, so that we can make the most of the new opportunities in the modern world,” she added.

The duration of the project is two years and it is implemented by GOPA-CartermillS.A in consortium with Altair Asesores and Fainberg LLC.
