“Those people of the Heritage Party who followed Vova are onlookers,” Kokobelyan says
Khachatur Kokobelyan, an MP and the leader of the Free Democrats Party, doesn’t think that the actions taken by the police on April 9 were in accordance with the law. He gave the following assessment during a conversation with www.aravot.am: “Certainly, important actions were taken on that day, why not, to avoid clashes, but naturally, by no stretch of the imagination can one describe those actions as proportionate. In my opinion, those people who describe those actions as proportionate, regardless of what institution they represent or what politicians they are, either don’t know what happened or just try to silence it.” As for where he, Mr. Kokobelyan, was on April 9 and whether he just looked on, he said: “No. I have never been and will not be an onlooker. Those people of the Heritage Party who followed Vova are onlookers. I have never looked on. I have always been involved and have never looked on.”
