Will the Dream of Police Officer Bison Who Stood Out on April 9 Come True?

April 23,2013 10:49

Artur Ter-Poghosyan, a police officer with a nickname Bison who, according to supporters of the Heritage Party, stood out for his activeness on Baghramyan Avenue on April 9, according to Artak Shahinyan, the commander of the second company, third special battalion of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, “is a very nice person who carries out orders and performs his duty well.” He didn’t wish to talk about the behavior of the above-mentioned police officer on April 9 during a conversation with www.aravot.am, claiming that he was not aware of the details of the incident, reminding at the same time that a criminal case had been opened and the material was at the Attorney General’s Office. Let us remind that according to the supporters of the Heritage Party, the aforementioned police officer used violence against protesters on various occasions. In response to our question whether it was correct that he had stood out on April 9, so that his dream to become the president’s bodyguard had come true more quickly, Mr. Shahinyan said: “They can say many things. Don’t listen to rumors…; there is no soldier who doesn’t dream of becoming a general. Everyone has a dream, but the question is whether they will be able to realize their dreams or not.”
