During a conversation with us this morning, he said that he would stay in the hospital for a few days more to undergo an examination. “I have dizziness, darkness in front of my eyes. I lost a lot of blood.” According to him, yesterday neighborhood guys who introduced themselves as Republicans impeded him in front of the buildings while he was handing out campaign leaflets. “At first, four youths approached me and inquired where I was from, what I was doing, then they said it was their territory, what business I had there, all votes there belonged to them, everybody was Republican, everybody was one of theirs, and I had no right to enter the building. And I explained that I was on duty, I was engaged in election campaign and said that what they were doing was a breach of the law.” According to the activist, the number of the aforementioned youths doubled later on, they were joined by more than ten people of mature age, and the fight began. “One of them hit me on the head and fifteen men aged

roughly 40 joined the striking.” A. Hakhverdyan is not going to report the crime to the police just yet, he said that he was not in such a good condition, and besides, he was waiting for his lawyer.
