“The Person Who Talks About That Should Not Leave Friends and Clear Off to Pray,” Gurgen Yeghiazaryan Says to Hello Yerevan

April 24,2013 11:31

“Admittedly, the Armenian National Congress (ANC) says that it boycotted, but, as they say, it doesn’t count. Because the people voted for you, you won votes, you got certain seats in the city council, but then you say that you are offended and will not work,” Anahit Bakhshyan made this observation during the campaign meeting of the Hello Yerevan Coalition in the Ajapnyak district the other day. Responding to this criticism during a conversation with www.aravot.am, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, a former member of the ANC, said: “The person who talks about that should first of all not leave friends on the battlefield and clear off to pray. Secondly, the person who utters such a thing should not get a seat and then vacate the seat for the third person, reaching an agreement with Serzh Sargsyan on the presidential election, because the people have given a commission to this person, not knowing who that person is. The seat shouldn’t be vacated. It happened 5 years ago, and I say that the day before yesterday, the seat shouldn’t have been vacated making way for the friend of Serzh Sargsyan’s son-in-law. We have told you lots of times that you have nothing to do with the Congress and Levon. You should talk about the person with whom you announced your candidacy, and whatever that person does will boomerang on that very

person, and you call that person a hero. I urge Raffi Hovhannisyan’s advisers and those people who write his program to come to their senses, leave us alone; can’t you see you are not doing a very good job?”
