The Hello Yerevan Coalition criticized the ANC for boycotting the Yerevan City Council, after winning seats in the previous election. “As they say, it doesn’t count. Because the people voted for you, you won votes, you got certain seats in the city council, but then you say that you are offended and will not work.” In response to a question of www.aravot.am what guarantees there were that the ANC would not boycott again, after winning seats in this election and would surely work, Vladimir Karapetyan, a member of the ANC, assured during a conversation with www.aravot.am today: “The ANC will surely assume the offices this time. We have explained hundreds of times what the reason for our not assuming the offices was. We will put up a very active struggle this time, are carrying out a very active election campaign and intend to work for the benefit of Yerevan.” He said that they were participating in this election, having great expectations. In response to our observation that everyone said that, everyone claimed that they were going for victory, he said: “I also say that we are participating, expecting to win.” According to Vladimir Karapetyan, the RPA will try to win a victory, using unlawful means, but they will prevent that this time.
