Mkrtich Minasyan, an energy expert and a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), assures that manure is environmentally friendly fuel
“There is nothing bad in manure; it is the most environmentally friendly fuel,” Vardan Bostanjyan, an economist and a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), said this at the Forum club, in response to an observation that as a result of the increase in gas prices, villagers would be compelled to burn manure. Mkrtich Minasyan, an RPA MP who is an energy expert by occupation, agreed with him on this issue and assured that “there is nothing poisonous in manure smoke.” “The whole humanity has done that all of its history,” Vardan Bostanjyan asserted, assuring that manure smoke was not dangerous. Then Mr. Bostanjyan expressed regret at the fact that people “give up on their idyllic life and come to town, among these cars, is that good?” www.aravot.am inquired of Vardan Bostanjyan who saw nothing bad in burning manure whether he would regress and burn manure. PAP member Bostanjyan replied: “I will not. Do you think I will do that, if I boast like this? I just want to say that we have deformed, you know?”

P.S. We didn’t manage to ask Mkrtich Minasyan the same question who went away, explaining that he was late for a parliamentary meeting.
