Armen Elbakyan. “Love resembles all people” (Video, Photos)

Armen and Anna Elbakyan’s have staged John Priestley’s famous work “A scandalous story between Mr. Katley and Miss Moon” in a new way. Yesterday, during the first night of “Make Me Fly to The Moon” performance at Edgar Elbakyan’s theater they succeeded to excite the room. In a conversation with Aravot.am Anna and Armen Elbakyan said that this work that was created in 50s is still actual: it touched upon topics of internal freedom of a man, the fight against the regime, love, identifying the ‘baby’ inside you and other topics. As formulated by the main hero, John “Free seagull” (Armen Elbakyan), love is the only indication that resembles all people in the world. Armen Elbakyan noted that the performance is built on improvisations. “Every time we play we do a unique jam session.” Anna Elbakyan (Miss Moon) also added that “Make Me Fly to The Moon” is the second joint work of her and Armen Elbakyan after the “Late Bird”. The message of the performance is liberation of all kinds of chain and casts. Lily Elbakyan, David Gasparyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Stepan Shahinyan, Ruben Abrahamyan and Hamo Adiyan are involved in the performance. The play was translated into Armenian by Tigran Kelemyan. The decoration was prepared by Arthur Harutyunyan.
