About the dogmas

July 08,2013 11:06

Last week, the speech of the attorney of the Parliament of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu in our Parliament caused anger to some of our countrymen in the pan-European conference devoted to the problems of rights. In vain.

First of all, everyone is entitled to express their opinion during the conferences.

The second, it was more pleasant personally for me to hear that we have seized something and not the contrary, that we, Armenians, are poor, broken and distressful nation.

And most importantly, one may worry, get anxious, counteract and argue when a person expresses its own opinion. Aurelia, as you understand, is not the case: the Azerbaijani gave this woman the text that was long ago elaborated by them and recited many times, and without particularly understanding she was mumblingly reading it. When a view is not the result of the work of the articulator’s thought, but just someone’s repetition of formulas, such a view is not worthy of attention.

For example, when the Soviet Communists used to say that ‘Marxism is not a dogma, but a guide of an action’, they were not really understanding that this argument, too, has become a dogma, because they were only guided by the guidelines of the author’s dictum. Or when the Republicans say “we are religion species “, they do not understand what they meant. Me, too, along with them, because I do not understand how the species, the nation, that you have despite your will, can become a religion, a thing that you choose consciously.

People love to repeat dogmas and mantras that were formulated before them, some do it for money, and some of them really believe that there is no life beyond these formulations. The last version is special to more or less inexperienced souls who are not able to critically comprehend the formulas raised inside their group (party). It is not a coincidence that the bosses of the parties usually push young people forward, who are called for attacking people who are unpleasant to their party. Then, there is always an explanation that it is not the official view of the party. Maybe it is so, but any person who has minimal experience in reading texts or listening can state that such opinions, repeated from text to text, acquired the status of formulas, and, consequently, are discussed and approved in the party environment.

If a man of any nation says from the tribune “they seized 20% of territory, one million people have become refugees,” you would not doubt that it is and Azerbaijani text, won’t you?
