July 15,2013 11:12

“New Times” party leader Aram Karapetyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to the NKR Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Aghabekyan’s words that selling weapons to Azerbaijan by RF has been treacherous business, and answering the question whether you agree with this opinion, he said,- “Of course not.” As for the observation whether this weapon is directed against a civilian population, as Mr. Aghabekyan says, Karapetyan noted,- “I do know whether it is so, or not, but there is nothing good in it that Azerbaijan is buying weapons, whether it is from Russia or other country. But so many people have talked about it, and did any one gave him a question why now … Everyone, starting from the Facebook, without an exception, orates, speaks about betrayals and a thousand and one things, but are they aware of how the deal was done, who are those lobbying, why did Russia agree now for the said sale? I have categorically a bad attitude to someone who arms Azerbaijan.” And what was the message of this step to equip Azerbaijan, Karapetyan said,- “I am just talking about it, but I do not want to get into anti-Russian field, because it is not fruitful, there is nothing there. When I look at the opinions, I don’t see serious discussion about what it may bring, or what to do in the future. I can see anti-Russianism of it, which, in my opinion, is dictated by Serzh Sargsyan together with his administration. In other words, Serzh Sargsyan, together with his administration, makes us get into anti-Russian hysteria, and it is also understandable … Regarding this transaction, very few people had known about it. But we are dealing with it professionally not to have such things in the future.”
