ANC’s findings: “2.5 billion dollars a year does not enter the budget, it is plundered.”

July 22,2013 10:34

ANC’s economic commission will analyze how much financial resources should be entered to the state budget, which is not done for the very reason that these funds are, in fact, plundered on the way to the state budget. So said the leader of the ANC faction Levon Zurabyan in a conversation with Aravot.am. According to him, “How interesting the findings of the Control Chamber were as to how the state budget is plundered, pursuant to our assessment it is plundered a few times more before entering the state budget. We have the assessments that are preliminary, but now we are trying to get more serious justifications, and give assessment that is more precise. However, about 2.5 billion dollars a year is not entering the budget, it is plundered on the way to the budget. Now imagine that these funds were used to have an alternative energy, given to Yerevan city budget, which would enable to regulate these transportation issues. All of these problems could be easily solved, but for 10 years they were dealing with plundering of unprecedented scale, so now we have what we have.”

To our question, whether there is a preliminary assessment as to what sectors are plundered at the maximum size, Levon Zurabyan replied,- “It’s hard to say so, but it is mainly related to the fields, where there are illegal privileges: customs, taxation, monopoly…. It is related to these sectors.”
