The human rights defender Mikael Danielyan visited the Court of Appeal to support ANC activists.
He assured that the court decision would be only a political decision. “What is decided at the top, I can not say. The court in Armenia is not free, and it will not make its decision free. They will be told from above what should be done, and they will do. Something has already been told the judge. And if the Court of Cassation has sent the case to the Court of Appeal, then something has been decided there. I think a good decision will be made for our guys.”
Mikael Danielyan thinks that the guys could be easily released. “The policemen should be blamed more for violating with their conduct, if not the law, the internal rules of procedures.”
To the question of Aravot.am as to taking into account that the motion to change the preventive measure of Tigran Arakelyan was not adopted by the Court, whether we can conclude that the disposition is not good, Mikael Danielyan replied,- “It does not say anything. I follow the Armenian courts since 1995 and I know very well that we cannot expect any normal decision from the courts in Armenia. Generally, the courts in Armenia are not understandable with their operations.”
