Dictionaries claim that paranoia is the generic name of mental disorder, which is characterized by a steady and systematic delirium.
The latter can occur on the background of fixed idea of persecution, jealousy, overestimation against its own personality.Frankly speaking, the observations in politics for about 15 years allow me to conclude that it is impossible to be engaged in politics (or in what we used to call a policy) in the post-Soviet country, and not to get sick with this disease.
If you are certain that you are the center of the universe, and you are the main attention and thought of the humanity for the rest of 6 billion people, and that exactly half of this 6 billion is busy with carrying on various intrigues against you from morning till evening, then you are a post-Soviet political figure. In this case, in any movement or speech of any man, you, of course, are going to see symptoms of execution of regular intriguing programs of your enemies.
The opposition, of course, suffers from paranoia. Every self-respecting opposition believes that the possibilities of its becoming a president (no more, no less) are so great, and, therefore, he is so dangerous for the authorities that the latter turns inside out to suspend its march to the royal throne. And if, for example, a person does not speak of its patriotic activities of an opposition in delight, based on this theory of conspiracy, he would definitely see “the hand of the authority” in it.

But it is more dangerous for the society when the authorities are showing the symptoms of this disease.
The manifestations of pathologic, here, may be different. The Azerbaijani authorities, for instances, being afraid of the “orange” revolution, have confiscated all kinds of orange color clothes from the shops.
Lukashenko has launched a criminal investigation against young people who shoot a ‘cartoon’ about him and inserted into the Internet. Probably, these young people would be charged by the Article of “Slander against the President of Belarus” and sentenced to 5 years in prison. The incident, in addition to everything, shows the ignorance of “batka”, by closing the “dangerous” site, it is impossible to prevent the dissemination of these cartoons through global network. On the contrary, now the attention of the whole world will be focused on the comics.
In one of the “cartoons”, Lukashenko turns pale and hides under the table learning that there will be free and fair elections in Belarus. It is obvious slander: such elections “do not pose a threat” to our countries.
