What fate awaits to 2-2.5 million Armenians, who are legally or illegally in the RF when Armenia will initialing the EU Association Agreement in November, meaning how the RF struggles against immigrants of its country in recent period. To the question of Aravot.am, the leader of “Free Democrats” party Khachatur Kokobelyan said that in his opinion the RF has the wrong policy towards immigrants. “Those who know RF very well, know also that in addition to the immigrants, there are a lot of problems in RF that are not solved starting from sanitary cleaning of Moscow up to construction industry,”- said our interlocutor, adding that foreign nations, particularly Armenians, are also involved in such scientific sectors that are of RF’s strategic importance. “Armenians should not be viewed merely for working on constructions in Moscow. There are businessmen and academicians, people having position in the most important circles for RF.

Everybody knows that the emigrants, if they are law-abiding, work only for benefit to given country. I do not think that the RF government officials do not realize it.” And what RF is doing against immigrants, particularly, Caucasians, including Armenians, our interlocutor considers it a step directed on showing Armenia to its ‘place’. “I’m sorry that 2.5 million Armenians are not in Armenia, but I do not see a problem here and I am sure that everything need to be done to overcome this situation and with minimal turmoil. Why not, in order to create opportunities for Armenians to come back to Armenia,”- said Khachatur Kokobelyan.
