Syrian-Armenians believe that they have lost Aleppo, but found Armenia

“Syrian young singers and dancers will surprise the audience with their. The objective is to demonstrate the Armenians that Syrian-Armenians are talented too and love for their homeland by doing effective work for their country,”- told Vruyr Bilemjian, Syrian-Armenian activits, one of the organizers of the event, in the interview with Aravot.am regarding the open-air concert-festival in participation of Syrian-Armenian musicians. He said that they will create a new life and a new values. The friendship between the Armenians and Syrian-Armenians is firm. The majority of Syrian-Armenians hopes that the situation in Syrian will be improved and they will go back, but there is also a great desire to stay in the homeland, to live, study, work and create. Armenia will strengthen and develop. UNHCR Armenia External Relations Associate Anahit Hayrapetyan believes that the event is ongoing. “There is a good tradition, Syrian-Armenians believe that they have lost Aleppo, but found Armenia. 90% of participants to the event are Syrian-Armenians, they are talented in all genres. We have a great wealth, 10,000 Syrian-Armenian, as a pearl, convey a great enthusiasm and patriotism. Armenia is a place of inspiration for them, the arts has increased a hundredfold.” The singer Zarouhi Babayan said that the music has combined Syrian-Armenians and the artists. This event will be an opportunity for Syrian-Armenians not to return to Syria, but stay in their homeland with a new breath and energy.
