The cemetery of ‘genocide’ village is safe at the border

On March 23-24, 1990, the Armenian volunteer forces silenced the firing positions of the village Bağanis Ayrum, administratively belonging to Qazakh region of Azerbaijan enclave in the territory of Noyemberian region. This small village located on Noyemberian-Idjevan interstate road had become a center of inroad.

The Azerbaijani official propaganda called destruction of Bağanis Ayrum firing positions a genocide. The Azerbaijani Milli Majlis deputy, a relative of Ilham Aliyev’s wife Ganira Pashayeva has written a book about the Bağanis Ayrum “genocide”, a website was established about the “genocide” in Azerbaijani, Turkish and English languages.

Armenian cross-stones of New Julfa, the Armenian cemetery in Baku, the other cultural values were destroyed in Azerbaijan. And the Bağanis Ayrum cemetery at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has been standing for 23 years.
